Juicy Burgers in Stuttgart

Head to The Burger Republic downtown for tasty, juicy, and reasonably-priced burgers. Aside from using local (from the region) ingredients, they also use fresh-ground beef daily. The Burger Republic also caters to the non-meat eaters by offering a Veggie burger with Portobello mushrooms, Romaine lettuce, Gouda-Basil cottage cheese, and home-made Herb butter.

Mexican Food in Stuttgart

We used to travel to Reutlingen for Viva Mexico's authentic Mexican food. Now that they've closed, we're thankful that there's another Mexican place in Stuttgart that we can go to.

Mezcal Hoch Zwei (Mezcal²) is more of a tasting room, therefore, their menu is somewhat a bit limited. It's mostly a Mezcaleria where you can sample a variety of Mezcal as well as food specialties from the different areas of Mexico.

Michelada while waiting for our food

Tacos al Pastor - corn tortilla with pork, pineapple,
Mexican  marinade, lime, and coriander

Tostada de Mole - crunchy corn tortilla, chicken,
cream, mole, and fresh cheese

Also ordered the Tacos Azteca which are potatoes in crunchy blue corn tortillas. As someone who likes crunchy food, I wolfed the dish down before remembering to snap a photo.

While Viva Mexico's food is better, I still think that Mezcal Hoch Zwei is worth a visit particularly for their Mezcal offerings. Like mentioned, Mezcal² is more a tasting room than a restaurant, so one cannot really compare the two.

I will definitely be back for more Micheladas and Tacos Azteca, and maybe even try their drink called Hoch Zwei!

For reservations and contact details, visit Mezcal² Facebook page. Click here for their menu.
